Where I come from...

After the reuniting, our travels turned north, to Nebraska. This year has been especially normal, from a rainfall perspective. Corn is up, smooth bromegrass tall and green, seas of green waves.

“What was any art but a mold to imprison for a moment the shining elusive element which is life itself- life hurrying past us and running away, to strong to stop, too sweet to lose.”

-Willa Cather

Life hurrying past us...that is what breathing does. And what I want to see and experience. I guess that is the draw of the road trip, to experience. Experiences wide and varied came with this vacation. Shooting from the back patio, ATV’s, hot dogs over a fire, airboats, reconnecting with friends. Shared experiences. Things that let you reconnect and say, “man, remember when we....”  Or, as my Mom always said, “making a memory”, usually that saying was to assuage fraying nerves and lighten the mood a bit!

Heh, heh, I even had Ms. M mowing the yard, getting to share an experience of my youth. And yes, even trained by the same guy, Grandpa making sure things got along ok.

Random experiences shared, that is the shining elusive element which is life itself.
