Black Friday, 2011 version.

Not a shopping cart in sight [link]. It has been somewhat of a tradition (careful with that word) to be contrary on major event days - Black Friday, Super Sunday - you get the idea - and pursue a bicycle related athletic activity. I have some pretty good friends that tend to indulge in a similar thought pattern, which I guess, makes sense.

Sunrise comes late and the honey light it sheds lasts a long time during this part of the year. Makes for some fun light and great rides. Rides that let you test the technique, let you leave the hustle and noise, and listen to the crunch of granite and as Mike C says - “the zzzzz of the freewheel.” [link]

After the ride, I get to go home, brew up some coffee and eat cookiedough with my family. Now that's a great Friday. With no kerfluffing involved.
