Now this is an extravaganza. Up before the sun, eating breakfast and loading the bike. We had a bike ride planned, so chain was lubed and water sack was packed the night before. Here it is, sun just coming up, bike is waiting in anticpation.
Met at 'bucks, wow, it's cold out. 35 and windy. That's cold for this Phoenician, and his partners. We spend about an hour drinking coffee and talking 'bout bikes. Is that good enough to qualify as taking a ride? Probably not. So, we head out to the trailhead, layered and coffeed. Each ready and wanting to burn off some of the calories from yesterday, we all had plenty of those.
Pyramid Peak area is the destination, lots of granite and play lines. Blue bird sky and loud laughter everywhere.
Black and white for the art attempt.
and me. - Kev wanted to make sure I showed up in the photos.
Finished playin' on the rocks and started the ride back to the vehicles. It's always amazing what you find in the desert. This time, a shopping cart. heh, heh. Stage some photos, and have a good time doing it. I have great friends. Not all fun is had on bikes.
Finish up the ride around noon, head to Mi Familia for some lunch. Egg, cheese, potato, chorizo burrito, now that's a fitting end to a great ride.
Head off with the family to the favorite coffee spot, Lux. After ordering an americano, 2 hot chocolates, a latte, and a strawberry brioche, we head outside to enjoy. And enjoy we did.
I always liked the building Lux is in, and since the sun is low on the horizon, we have some good line and color.
After finishing our treats, we head to Arizona Falls and finish out our Saturday. What a spectacular day.
You are killing me with the small corner pictures of the brioche! Oh how I long to taste a Lux brioche!
