Dawn Patrol

Yes, first morning ride of the season. Wake up and head out before work. We met and this is what it looked like pre-ride:

Super blue as the earth turns and the sun gradually lights up the night sky. It is always a little difficult getting up and actually forcing the ride when there is a cool breeze out. This morning was no different. When meeting people, it always puts a little more pressure on to head out, as opposed to heading out alone. As the wind blows, I can convince myself I need some additional sleep or that work is somehow more important. (Really?) Once I’m out riding, there is no question as to the priority, but getting to that point is always the difficulty.
The trail beckons, and oh it is juicy. Rocks. Singletrack, techy goodness.

We ride, with the city in view:

West Wing just has some great views. Ride and sweat a little, look out over the city. Techy, it just needs some taco Tuesday goodness. As the Taco John’s(Nebraska taco joint) jingle went, two tacos 99 cents. Kinda sounds like a plan…
