Summer in Phx and riding.

Bike riding in Phx during the summer usually means early morning.  Which is good, since post-ride coffee makes a great recovery drink.  Thunderbird Conservation Park is the local treadmill, and when starting at 5:30, the sunrises make some fun images.

I did a ride early on a Saturday, had to wait in the garage for the rain to stop.  Couldn't decide if the rain was on for the day, or just a passing fad.  It quit and a little blue sky shown through the cloud cover.  Rode a little longer loop, prepping for Durango, and stopped for an energy drink mid-way through.  Ended up getting rained on again, as you can see in the parking lot behind me.

The ride this Saturday was a good one as well (aren't they all?).  Longer ride again, building up fitness for the high country trip.  Has been awhile since since I felt salt on the sides of my face, and left salt lines on the gloves.  But yeah, it was good.
